COUNTRY ROAD LOG HOMES At Country Road Log Homes, we have developed and patented amazing technology. A Country Road Log is manufactured, cut, and bored at our factory in North Carolina. The logs are bored at 16” on centers and sized in certain lengths. The logs are then stacked to form the wall. At every butt joint a 1” x 12” dowel is inserted. Additionally 2 metal plates are nailed across every butt joint to guard against the logs separating or allowing air leaks. Two strips of foam sealant tape are placed at every point that wood meets wood. Nobody takes the care that Country Road Log Homes does in building a log home. All of the rods, nuts, washers, sealant, dowels, wood treatment, and metal butt joint plates are included in our kit prices.
