At Country Road Log Homes, we have developed and patented amazing technology. A Country Road Log is manufactured, cut, and bored at our factory in North Carolina.
There are no nails or spikes to drive—no lag screws to laboriously bore into the logs. All you need to do is tighten our threaded rod bolts every 2 years.
Compression…Country Road Log Homes offers compression that is unmatched by any “competitor.” With a compression strength of a 5/8” steel rod far exceeds that of a spike, nail, or 10” lag screw.
All wood shrinks and moves to a varying degree. The owner of a Country Road Log Homes has the option to simply tighten a few bolts to further compress the logs at a later date—even years later—another exclusive feature. No chinking will be required in a Country Road Log Home.
Country Road Log Homes has a US utility patent on two features of our homes. One is the through rod technology and the other is our corners. At Country Road Log Homes, Inc. we offer a four way interlocking corner which makes it almost impossible to erect a corner section that is not plumb.
The prebored logs assure the proper fit of wall sections. 
In order to make the corners fit perfectly, our logs are shaped differently than our competitors. We have massive R-30 rated logs that are easy to feel comfortable with.

Four Way Interlocking Corners are pre-cut before shipping out from our factory.
Please note that no fake, Styrofoam mortar-look material is used between our logs. Our logs are milled to form a solid wood tongue and groove fit so that when tightened and compressed, there is no need for caulk and chink.
